Many people put off making a Will until very late in life, which causes that the estate goes to others than intended.
Even though it is a very delicate subject it is very important to deal with it as early as possible.
If you a looking for a fair price for a Will
We can help making a simple Will for a fixed price of kr. 2,950,-. If you have many special wishes or have separate children, we Will make you an offer for the Will instead. In these cases the Will is more complicated, why we cannot offer a fixed price up front.
What is the difference between a Will and a Prenuptial agreement?
As a rule of thumb the Will dictates what happens in case of death, and a Prenup dictates what happens in case of divorce.
Some wishes belong in a Will and some belong in a prenup. It is important not to mix up what goes where since the documents can be void if done wrong.
Luckily, the distinction is not that hard:
Simple put – a marriage can end in two ways: Divorce or death.
While a Will ONLY has meaning in relation to death – the prenup can have meaning in BOTH death and divorce. A prenup Will in practice both have consequences for the distribution of property in divorce and death – since the longest living often Will be able to keep his or her separate property out of the total estate of the deceased.
However, this does not change the fact that if you primarily want to distribute the property in relation to death – a Will is the correct document to make.
